Amy-Jill Levine will deliver Agnes Scott College’s 2012 James Ross McCain Faith and Learning Lecture, titled Agreeing to Disagree: How Jews and Christians Read Scripture Differently, on Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Gaines Chapel, Presser Hall.

Levine is the E. Rhodes and Leona Be Carpenter Professor of New Testament Studies and professor of Jewish studies at Vanderbilt University Divinity School. She holds a B.A. from Smith College and M.A. and Ph.D. from Duke University. Her newest book, The Jewish Annotated New Testament, was published in December 2011.
